Assignments in On-Demand Certificate Programs can take several forms:
- Knowledge Check Quizzes. Most lessons will include a short quiz at the end that you can use to check how well you have retained the new information covered in the lesson. This is ungraded, you can take it multiple times, and serves as a great tool to ensure you're happy before moving on to the next lesson or module.
- Homework Assignments. Some courses will include homework assignments. These will usually be a short project designed to allow you to try out, and demonstrate your grasp of the topics covered in the preceding lessons. Some homework assignments might also include some short questions for you to answer. Homework assignments are graded by your mentor and it is advisable to ensure that you receive a passing grade before continuing with the learning.
- Capstone Project. Some programs include capstone project. This is large project designed to bring together all the knowledge you have covered across the entire program. You are able to access the capstone project requirements and specification from the start of the program, but you aren't expected to submit it until after you have completed all of the content. Expect a capstone project to take you considerable time and effort. It will be graded by your mentor, and passing is a requirement to receive your certificate.
