# What happens to my books if I cancel my subscription?

## Whether you have access to content after a subscription ends all depends on how you purchased it.

Whether you retain access to your books depends on how you have gained access to them:

- **If you've purchased them individually separate from your subscription**: You'll continue to have full access to your digital copies of the books and any released updates for the future after your subscription ends.
- **If you access the books online only through your subscription:** All notes, highlighted content, and book access will end at the same time as your subscription.
